Thank you for making this past year so very special. We've been touched by your response to Dave and his music. It is your interest in Dave that has propelled him to even greater visibility and appreciation this year.

You came to the shows, whether in large venues or small, whether Dave was playing with Roger Waters in arenas with tens of thousands of people or whether he was playing solo shows in smaller clubs.

Your excitement about Dave's music has led to the completion of Scarlet and your compliments and enthusiasm about the album to its international distribution. You have made Playing with Fire, Dave's acoustic album, re-released in 2004, a hit yet again. And your enthusiasm forced us to find additional copies of Cosmogenic (Dave's collaboration with singer Chip Jenkins) and to release Qango's Live in the Hood album again. (Dave was a founding member of Qango with John Wetton, Carl Palmer and John Young).

Because of your interest in Dave, the press became interested too! Dave has been interviewed and featured in every medium possible - television, radio, newspapers, magazines and internet.

To mention just a few:

Features in Guitar Player Magazines' (the industry bible for professional and amateur guitarists) November issue, Guitar Techniques Magazine, a 28 page cover feature from a Japanese rock magazine, radio interviews with satellite Sirius Radio's legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame disk jockey Carol Miller, Jonathan Clarke, host of Q104.3 (the US's premier classic rock station), and the BBC's renowned Sue Marchant. He was featured in web interviews and in interactive webchats. More recently, Dave was interviewed by Classic Rock Revisited's Ryan Sparks. We've been thrilled to meet you - in the audiences, backstage, by chance in the street, and at the meet and greets that you asked for. Although Dave has been too busy touring and recording regularly to teach, we are pleased that he has had the opportunity to work with some new guitarists at the Guitar Break Weekends where he's been a featured guest instructor. It's been great to get the requests for more instruction, even though we can't meet them right now.

We've been excited as we've watched Dave go where he has never been before - highlighted Dave's exposure by a Live Earth performance in July in Giants' Stadium in America, where Dave and the Roger Waters Band played a set to two billion people around the world - approximately a third of the global population.

Your pleasure mirrored our own as Dave has worked alongside Roger Waters, touring in a once in a lifetime staging of a classic album with an extraordinary band.

Because of you, we are busy making plans for 2008 - to feature Dave's solo work around the world, to make new music and new recordings, to work with new collaborators and to work and tour with some old friends.

It has been a fabulous year. And without your support, it couldn't have happened. The compliments have been fast and furious (and we're so flattered, we sometimes can't articulate all the thanks for your expressions of warmth - whether it be for Dave's onstage skills, his songwriting, singing, playing, teaching, writing, or just his engaging stories). We have been staggered by the many thousands of you who have reached out to us.

Because you have taken notice of Dave, Dave has also been noticed by the world's best musical equipment manufacturers and suppliers. Fender featured his work and his telecasters on their website. Dunlop manufactured personalized picks for Dave. Suhr Guitars have made several to order for Dave and Takamine has loaned guitars to him as he plays around the world. Daddario has recently announced Dave as an endorser for their strings, which he uses exclusively. Cornford Amps, an English company acclaimed worldwide, has always provided Dave with custom amps for shows throughout his career and supported both his solo career and partnerships with others.

A SPECIAL TREAT FOR GERMAN FANS
Dave will be playing in duo with acoustic guitarist Murray Hockridge for the first time in public on Friday December 7th. We know this is late notice, but we think it is a special opportunity and hope you can join us as Dave and Murray take the stage. The venue is the Woden Halle in Freiburg, Germany. The fun begins at 8:30pm.

Murray's voice has been deemed special by fans and critics and his original compositions fascinating while his interpretation of cover songs are memorable.

There should be two one hour sets -- so if you really love the first set, you can hang around and see the second! Dave is looking forward to this and we hope you are too! This marks the first public performance of two of England's finest guitarists.

Dave has long been a popular instructor at the Academy for Contemporary Music in Guildford, England and is a long time writer for GUITAR TECHNIQUES and GUITARIST magazines with more than 200 articles to his credit. Fans also can get his series of instructional videos from Lick Library.

When in NY for the Save the Music Foundation Gala, Dave found time to stop by "the Q" ’Äì the nation's premier classic rock station, with over a million listeners on the airwaves and that doesn't count the people who listen on the web through their computers!

Carol Miller's colleague at the Q, Jonathan Clarke, the Host/Executive Producer for "Out of the Box," New York City's Number One New Music Show since its debut over six years ago, interviewed Dave for the show... "Out of the Box" spins deep cuts from new CD's by classic rock artists, new music from newer artists, as well as music from the garages, basements and lofts of the many undiscovered artists and bands in the NYC tri-state area.

Dave joins such luminaries as Debbie Harry, John Fogerty, and Bruce Springsteen, all of whom have been on the show in recent weeks. MANNY'S MUSIC MEET AND GREET
A special thanks to everyone who came to Manny's Music in NYC. What a great time! Dave and all who came thoroughly enjoyed the fun, laughter and conversation as Dave spent an hour and a half with some old friends, some new, and some who will become even better friends in the future.

We took as many snaps as we could of Dave with you all... professional photogs and friends Marco and Kristen were there, too... and we can't wait to see their pictures which are sure to be super! Dave's primary reason for jetting to NYC is to help the Save the Music Foundation on 20 September, playing in a gala event with Roger Waters and a children's choir and orchestra drawn from public schools the foundation has helped. Please help that cause!

VH1 Save the Music Foundation Gala Sept 20
THE VH1 SAVE THE MUSIC FOUNDATION 10TH ANNIVERSARY GALA

On September 20th, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation will mark ten years of restoring music education programs in more than 1,500 United States public schools with a Gala celebration at the Tent at Lincoln Center in New York City.

The celebration pays tribute to many who have helped contribute to the cause including:Former President Bill Clinton, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, VH1 Save The Music founder John Sykes, Mariah Carey and NAMM, The International Music Products Association. In addition, a group of students from VH1 Save The Music grant recipient schools across the country will play together for the first time as an all-student orchestra, demonstrating the impact of the VH1 Save The Music Foundation.

Dave will be performing with Roger Waters at the event, where they will play a Pink Floyd song along with an all student orchestra and choir. The students are drawn from grant recipient schools from across the States, demonstrating the impact of the foundation. Other performers include Jon Bon Jovi and John Mayer.

JOHN WETTON SURGERY UPDATE
Many of you know that Dave had the pleasure of working with the extraordinarily talented bass player and vocalist John Wetton, whose inimitable style shaped the sound of Asia, UK, King Crimson, to name a few. John underwent triple bypass surgery recently and fans of both Dave and John have been eager for updates. We are pleased to report that the surgery was successful and that John has been released from hospital. Here is a quote from John to his fans, from his guestbook at www.johnwetton.com :

"The winged messengers and guides who have been bringing prayers and wishes from you to me (and back) must be taking a well-earned break for a cup of ambrosia,because I am back at home. The last tube was removed yesterday,and Iamazed myself (but not my Physio) by walking unattended up 4 flights of stairs today before being discharged.So my thanks to you guys for the love and good stuff that I knew was coming my way-it certainly found its mark. The people to whom I owe my life would read like an Oscar acceptance list,but I can't NOT name these three men,without whose skill, vision and professionalism I would simply and actually not be here. To them I owe my life. Dr.Roberto Casula, Dr.Martin Scurr,and Dr.Richard Carroll, thankyou."

North America final shows!
The final four shows in North America ended with a corker in Toronto on the fourteenth of July. Dave and all of the Roger Waters band have been gratified by the reception they've received worldwide as they brought not only the classic Dark Side of the Moon to Life, but added other Pink Floyd and Roger Waters favorites with a scintillating visual show that included pyrotechnics, extraordinary artwork, and inflatable pigs and spacemen!

We hope you enjoyed it as much as the band!

A big THANK YOU!!!
Live Earth was an extraordinary event to be part of ’Äì a chance to help the world's climate crisis and play music to a third of the world's population all at once! Thank you so much for all your comments and emails supporting Dave and congratulating him on his guitar work and vocals during the Live Earth Set!

It was exciting and a great honor to participate. Thank you all for being there, supporting the cause and supporting Dave and the Roger Waters band, whether you were at Giants Stadium, watching on television or viewing the internet stream.

Roger Waters Tour Finishing North America!
The final four shows are here. Sadly, this leg of the tour is ending, with final shows to be played in Boston, Hartford, Darien Lakes and Toronto this week.

A big thank you again to everyone who has made this tour so special. The warmth of the reception provided to Dave and to the band in every city, at every venue, has been extraordinary and memorable.

We hope that the memories are as wonderful for you as they are for Dave.

Live Earth! Concert July 7th to Solve the Climate Crisis
Cities around the world will be hosting a multi-band, multi venue concert featuring more than 100 artists and broadcast to more than two billion people world wide! In New York, the concert will take place at the New York/New Jersey Giants Stadium venue, where the Roger Waters Band will perform a set. We don't have exact timing yet, but right now the Roger Waters Band is scheduled to perform just prior to the set from The Police.

More details will become available on how to watch the broadcast, which will be available on terrestrial television, satellite and cable tv, the internet, satellite and traditional radio and through wireless communications.

The internet will feature live streams of the show:

Live Earth will be transmitted worldwide, from EIGHT cities (New York, London, Johannesburg, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai, Tokyo, Sydney, and Hamburg) by Intelsat (www.intelsat.com) using its industry-leading network of Satellite and terrestrial facilities in standard and high definition, across multiple media channels - TV, radio, Internet and wireless channels.
